Thank you for the great resources! I am a new Christian after the Lord brought me out of a lifetime of Mormonism about a year ago. The Lord is calling me into the ministry and something tells me that, at some future time, that will involve church planting. But before I even begin moving towards that, I feel I need much more preparation. I loved your advice on being on staff with a church as preparation, but how does one go about making that happen? I’m also considering attending a School of Ministry at my local Calvary Chapel. Thanks for taking the time to make these resources available!

Hey Brad,
Thanks for the comment.
Praise the Lord for His love and stirring in your life.
The best way to possibly end up on staff at a church is to just be a servant. ‘A man’s gifts make room for him…’ Just serve the Lord at the fellowship that the Lord has you at. Like Jesus, just serve Him.
He will do the rest. A School of Ministry will be helpful but it is your local church that will confirm your calling.
God bless you Brad

Hey Daniel,
I appreciate your insight on the five lessons of a young planter. Man, I have literally (well almost literally) crashed and burned on all points, and for some foolish reason, (the difficulties that come with the price of admission)keep getting back up and trying again . My biggest fault was not submitting to my leadership and having to learn the hard way. The greatest lesson I have learned is to just be in love with Jesus and obey what He wants, and be willing to do what He wants regardless of the outcome.
KUTGW(keep up the good work in text talk!)

I am in the middle (actually I guess I should say midst not middle) of a Church plant right now. It is great to read through some of your resources. There are some great reminders in there for all of us. I am looking forward to future posts,

WOW! Where were you 1 month ago? Just over a month ago I wrote back to my home church and other larger churches in my state who knew I had moved to Macon to plant a Calvary style church, to tell them I basically was quiting. I thanked them for their prayers and “pats on the back.”( – in essence)
I read Chuck Smith say, if we were just like the Church next door, there would basically be no need for two, but we should join forces and journey together. – paraphrased. So moving to the city that has the Most Churches per capita in the Nation, lead me to really doubt whether Iwas to start a new church or join forces with another. But I can’t find one like a Calvary, so II was sitting with my laptop and thought, what if someone could tell me where I went wrong and maybe had some advice for me trying to plant this work here alone?” So I typed in. Oh thank God for Google and for you putting the resourse together. I feel a new energy I really want to pray about trying again with this new found info.
Thanks again. I’ll keep in touch.

Dear Sirs,
I am an Evangelist based in Nairobi Kenya.
I live in a populated area where there is no church and people around prefer sleeping on sundays or watcth the Christian telecasts. I feel that these people are denying God His praise and service of worship. I am strongly convinced that this place needs a church. I have identified a suitable premises where i can host a congregation of 500 people. The place is also very ideal for children sunday school and many other Christian education ministries.
Unfortunately, i have no initial funds for acquiring this property on lease. The rent per month is $300.00 I only need rent for the first 3months to start off, then the Lord will take care of the rest.
Any body out there who can partner with me in planting this church please?
My Ministry is called: MOUNT ZION FELLOWSHIP.
KINDLY HELP.
